There are TWELVE concurrent games of TW2002 running.

"What you don't know won't hurt you." - (someone who died from ignorance)

I believe in doing something unique, to give my games a bit of added spice.
At best, you can profit from knowing what the added features in these games
are. On the other hand, your ignorance can get you very dead. Want a chance
to survive, perhaps prosper, at these games? Read on...

All are REGISTERED copies, and have the following settings:
  Turns/day: 200
  Starting fighters: 30
Photon Missiles: 15-25 Sec (a random number from 15 to 25)
FedSpace Squatters: 0-2 (random) per sector
Approximately half the games show StarDock Location. (50% chance)

The Wanderer: a fully loaded Level 5 Citadel planet. The Wanderer will move
EVERY midnite and will not stay claimed long...

The Death Star: as you can guess, waltzing into the sector with this planet
is not good for your health. Like The Wanderer, it moves. However, it isn't
possible nor profitable to take it. It also keeps a maximum fighter cloud &
mines with it...

Random Planets: mostly with little or no defensive ability but CAN reach up
to Level 5 Citadels! There can be up to 25 of these pre-made bases.

Black Holes: Sectors with ways IN, but no warps leading OUT. Even TransWarp
can't help here. They may have trapped aliens and Ferrengi that will not be
pleased, either...

Nexus: This is a VERY DEADLY trap! A Nexus is a group of seven sectors that
lead ONLY to each other. Although similar to a Black Hole, it CANNOT be de-
tected by a Density Scanner. ~~~~~~

Crystalline Entity: Inspired directly by StarTrek: The Next Generation, has
an appetite for anything living. There will be nothing alive on a planet it
finds. Mines, fighters & Quasar Cannons can not defend against THIS menace,
but a Shielded planet MAY be safe from attack.

Federation FlagShip: Commanded by Grand Admiral Kirk, this thing packs half
a million fighters and can find even a cloaked or landed ship. All he looks
for is Evil StarShips. There is a way to foil him, but it's not easy...

Games are automagically Big-Bang'ed on the first day of the matching month:
  A-Jan B-Feb C-Mar D-Apr E-May F-Jun G-Jul H-Aug I-Sep J-Oct K-Nov L-Dec
                       (C-L temporarily disabled)

                                   TIPS:

1 - None of the added challenges will ever appear in a FedSpace Sector. The
the Class 0 ports are included in this clause.

2 - As mentioned, a DENSITY SCANNER is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, especially in an
older (over 2 months) game. Caution in exploring is also rather advisable
if the explorer does not wish to find him/herself in a Nexus.

3 - Random planets may or may not be defended! If one is defended, Military
and Quasar Cannon Atmosphere Reaction Levels can reach 100%. Quasar Sect-
or Reaction can be up to 40%, and Shielding as high as 1638. All of these
  are proportional with each other.

4 - If you find The Wanderer (always planet registry #150), DO *NOT* remain
the night in its Citadel! You won't appreciate the result when the planet
moves and YOU DON'T! It is NOT possible to keep The Wanderer from moving!
                       ~~ ~~ ~~~~~~~~ ~~ ~~~~ ~~~ ~~~~~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~~~~
5 - Gotten into a Black Hole or Nexus? Your only sure option is to self-de-
struct... A Density Scanner shows Black Holes. (HINT: any sector shown in
an autopilot path EXCEPT THE DESTINATION can NOT be a Black Hole: a Nexus
sector won't have a path back to Terra under the Ships Computer Find Path
  option...)

6 - When things first appear: Ŀ
Ĵ Game age at 1st appearance

7 - The Nexus. ----- This is a map of a typical Nexus --------

These numbers are all made up and do not intentionally represent any of the
games anywhere on any system.

The Nexus ͻ There are several ways into this box,
/ \ -Warps but only three ways out. You have the
                                    options of self-destruction, attack a
101 202 port (if any) to get blown up, or you
/ \ / \ can call for a Tow (if your SysOp has
         / \ / \ this function enabled). Ask him/her.

         \ / \ / Tows are EXPENSIVE! Fair warning...
